The Lake Elmo Lake Association (LELA) is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and enhancing the natural beauty, water quality, and recreational value of Lake Elmo lake for current and future generations.
We foster a strong sense of community among residents, promote responsible stewardship of our shared environment, and work in partnership with local stakeholders to ensure the sustainable use and enjoyment of our lake.
Lake Elmo is experiencing a range of environmental pressures, including aquatic invasive species (AIS) and PFAS contamination, which are disrupting the lake’s ecology and negatively impacting water quality, recreation, and overall ecosystem health.
LELA has prioritized the prevention, monitoring, and management of AIS as a critical component of it's long-term stewardship strategy. We diligently pursue grant opportunities and fundraising initiatives to sustain effective AIS mitigation and ongoing maintenance efforts.
